Good morning from Adelaide,

As we prepare our van for the big lap, we're doing daily short videos on Instagram to let you know what we're doing each day - just the little things we've found make life so much easier, feel free to check them out and follow along:)

Let's have a quick chat about the things that need to get sorted, and when we start sorting them out:

Life Admin First

About 6 months out, start on medical and specialist appointments (ask about telehealth for while you're away), your driver's licence, Medicare details, and your passport if there's any chance of a trip that needs one. It's not exciting, but it makes departure day so much less stressful.

Then, start working towards that budget goal. If you're not sure what to budget for, this planner can make it simple for you

Your House Isn't a Simple Decision

Rent it, sell it, or lock it up and walk away, each one has real trade-offs. We've seen people sell up, go away for a year, then struggle to get back into the market when they came home. Whatever you choose, have a genuine plan B in case the lap isn't for you after all.

PS I'm creating an app that helps with self management, as I've done this many times in the past, but thanks to AI, I've turned the boring, monotonous data stuff into a simple app. At the moment, I've made it just for our use, but if it's something that we find useful, it might be something you'll be interested in too:

Feel free to reply if this could be useful. I can do a walkthrough if you would like and can explain how to self-manage over on Skool :)

The Trap Nobody Warns You About

The thing that actually trips people up more than any of them is never picking a real departure date. Not just talking about going, actually setting the date and working backwards from it. Click on the button here to use my free departure date calculator:

Have a lovely day
