Hey
How are you?
This email is a little out of the ordinary... but I know many of you are travelling with kids, or are thinking of travelling with kids.
If homeschooling isn't for you, skip to the next section - I've got some cool info :)
If this is you, I might be able to help out.
As many of you know, I've been homeschooling our kids since forever... and when I first knew that homeschool was going to be the path for us, I didn't know what to do!
I bought all the big yearly plans, (stressed out lots...), and was wondering what I was getting myself in for...
Now, a few years down the track and starting my 2nd in foundation year this year, I've got a pretty good idea of what to do. And it's nowhere near as tricky as I first thought.
We follow a homeschool method that's called 'unschooling' - I had no idea what this meant at the time, but basically, it is following your kids' lead and going with their curiosity. Much easier than traditional settings.
And it can be done anywhere, on the road, at home, at the park... anywhere!
However, I also wanted to make sure I was covering the full curriculum (it's currently the Australian v9.0 curriculum if you're interested), so I made weekly notes of what I needed to cover. That way, I would lead the conversations towards what we needed to do to tick the boxes.
If you would like to find out more about homeschooling, I put all the info I had in one document here (for free):
And, I've put all my notes for the Foundation year into a massive 100-page document (2 pages per week) with some instructions at the start.
If you would like to check this out, click here. This is what I've used to homeschool Alex, and now Jas is starting on this year.
And if you are interested in any other year level, let me know. I'll put the year that I get the most interest in up next.

Best locations to book now:
If you're considering a trip to Exmouth/Ningaloo this season, now is the time to book. As the cooler months start down south, Ningaloo becomes the perfect place to venture! However, it gets busy, so make sure you book ahead. This includes campsites in the national park.

I've also been made aware that there's a slight issue with the software that I use to deliver my guide on caravan adventure planning. (I've just started using Manychat to deliver this, and there are some teething issues.. thanks, technology!) Anyway, here is the copy again for those who didn't receive it, and I'm sorry if it didn't get to you straight away.

Have a lovely day, and I hope you're planning something great for the Easter break... or staying home to avoid the crowds! (let me know - I'm a real person who writes this!)

PS There's heaps of AI going around, so I'll always let you know if it's me writing it, or AI - on the images on Facebook, look for a little AI icon on any of my posts if I've used AI (mainly the memes I find!)
